Battlefield 1 Volga River is a new large map which builds upon the war-torn area surrounding the City of Tsaritsyn during the Russian Civil War.
The local rural landscape of Russia is open but full of craters, burnt out tank husks and skeletal ruins.

As winter comes to Volga River, fight your way through the thick smoke billowing over the open fields. Wrecked armoured train cars litter the way as you try to take the city as either the Red Army or the White Guard Defenders.
How can I play Volga River?
If you’re an owner of a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, you have access to Volga River. When active, you can also take advantage of Battlefield 1 Premium Friends which lets you play the map if you squad up with a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owner, or Battlefield 1 Premium Trials which works similarly, but without the need to join a friend**.

Volga River is one of the two maps you can play as part of the Russian White or Red Army. As the battle readies to take the city of Tsaritsyn, you can attack as part of the Red Army or become one of the White Guard Defenders.

There are two major challenges that await you within Volga River, not only must you navigate your way around the ferocious tanks that are waiting to repel any force presented to them but you must also work your way through trenches to approach some of the most vital points on the map. Either way, you will need wit and solidarity, either way, death approaches many.
Why is Volga River so fun to play?
Volga River is a large and open map filled with lots of obstacles for the player to navigate as they prepare to venture closer to Tsaritsyn. Prepare for tank warfare; though trenches provide a sense of relief from the tanks battling on, at the cost of facing off in close quarters. Ruined buildings towards to outskirts of Tsaritsyn gives a sense of sheer destruction that awaits you as you move closer.
