Battlefield 1 Lupkow Pass: Cross the Carpathians in your first taste of Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar. Coming in August for Battlefield 1 Premium Pass* owners.

What is Lupkow Pass?
Lupkow Pass is the first map we’re releasing from Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar, the most extensive Battlefield expansion so far. Five more maps will follow as the full expansion pack releases in September.

Where and when is the map set?
Based on the Austro-Hungarian assault on the Russian-held Carpathian passes in January 1915, Lupkow Pass brings the fight to a harsh but beautiful environment where the Russian Army defends their frozen ground.

How can I play Lupkow Pass?
If you’re an owner of a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass or the Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar expansion, you have access to Lupkow Pass. You can also take advantage of Battlefield 1 Premium Friends, when active, which lets you play the map if you squad up with a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owner. During Battlefield 1 Premium Trials you can play Lupkow Pass and any other available Battlefield 1 Premium Pass map without the need to join a friend.

What armies are available?
On Lupkow Pass, you can play as either the Russian Army or the Austrian-Hungarian forces.

What game modes can I play on Lupkow Pass?
All modes will be available to play in Lupkow Pass with the exception of Supply Drop and Operations.

What weapons and vehicles are available on Lupkow Pass?
11 new Russian-themed weapons will be available, with limited vehicle access to the Ilya-Muromets Heavy Bomber, Putilov-Garford Heavy Armored Car, and the Y-Lighter Landing Craft.

Are there any new classes?
On these frozen hills, there’s nothing so dangerous as the sound of approaching hoof beats. Ride with the all-new Hussars and use the lance and evolved cavalry gameplay to dominate your foes. Or take to the high ground to strike your enemies from afar as the Russian Scout—the first playable female character in Battlefield 1 multiplayer.

What are the most important locations on the map?
You’ll want to explore every inch of Lupkow Pass, from the footbridge that crosses the creek to the hidden lookout post of Pawel’s Watch. Storm the fortified ruins of Rostov’s Hold, battle among the sleepy homes of Narev village, or fight to control the elevated train bridge that spans the pass.

How does the vertical terrain affect the gameplay?
With constricted passes and gorges limiting your sight-lines, adapting your tactics is crucial. Gain altitude and secure a vantage point on the advancing enemy to win the day – but beware that an Armored Train could turn the tides of battle at any moment.
