Battlefield 2 WZ-551 (Wuzhuang Zhisheng APC - CHINA)
Battlefield 2 WZ-551: The WZ-551 offers the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) the ability to quickly deploy infantry to almost any battlefield location. The six-wheeled armored personnel carrier is designed to cross rugged terrain, from trenches to rivers to steep grades.
It’s fully amphibious, carries a 7.62mm machine gun, and is fitted with an NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) protection system, allowing it to operate in inhospitable environments. Since the PLA’s current imperative is to transform its forces into rapid reaction units, the WZ-551 provides the ideal method of transportation.
The WZ-551’s 6X6 chassis is derived from Mercedes-Benz truck technology and designs. Several variants of the WZ-551 have been developed including combat support, self-propelled artillery, field ambulance, and civilian anti-rioting vehicle.
