Battlefield 4 CTE Community Map – Rush Test #2

In today’s Battlefield 4 Community Test Environment update DICE added some more integrated goodies from Hardline, and they also enabled Chain-link testing on the 32 player CMP servers and the community map has gone into the second stage of Rush testing.

FOCUS GAME MODE : RUSH
Our third vote resulted in a Rush win (like expected). This means we will be focusing our testing on Rush for a while. We still want feedback on the other modes of course, as we have been tweaking and improving them based on feedback as well!

RELEASE NOTES
These are the changes included in this release:

Community Map Updates
Long weekend means more modes (Monday is Labor day in the US)! Adding Chain-link to testable modes (32 player servers after rush in the playlist!).
Removing Conquest Small from 32 player mode list until ticket bleed fix is in (Tuesday next week)
Updates to all game modes, tweaks and fixes cover improvements.
River flow tweaks (water effects) and added more flies.
Waterfall polish pass.
Added lake water at temple for audio hooks. Optimized for Gen3.
Update to Gen4 vegetation for optimization.

Gameplay Updates
Tank smokescreen update: Smokescreen is now much more dense/opaque. Properly covers the tank. Smoke trails behind tank for 7 seconds. Tank and surrounding friendlies is un-spotted when screen is deployed.
Mini-map capture areas integrated from Hardline, including circular ones. Known issues include not rendering properly on the Community Map. (Works in most cases, only visible on the mini-map, not the large “M” map).
Added scaling soldier icons for players above and below the local player (integrated from Hardline) give us feedback on how well this works!

Summer Patch coherence
This release also includes a full integration of the Summer Patch which means the changes you’d expect to see there should be in here. IE the Jets should be back to 313 normal setup again etc. Let us know if you find any inconsistencies!
