What is Albion?
Albion is one of 6 maps that will be released in September as part of the expansion Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar.

Where and when is the map set?
Based upon the 1917 conflict “Operation Albion” where German forces begin the offensive to try and claim key ground against the Russians, via the Sworbe Peninsula of Ösel Island. However with only landing craft, torpedo boats and a battleship the only means of entry to the series of islands, the odds currently are not in their favor.

How can I play Albion?
If you’re an owner of a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, you have access to Albion. When active, you can also take advantage of Battlefield 1 Premium Friends which lets you play the map if you squad up with a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owner, or Battlefield 1 Premium Trials which works similarly, but without the need to join a friend**.

What armies are available?
On Albion, you will be able to play as either the attacking Germans or defend as the Russian Army.

What game modes can I play on Albion?
All modes except Operations.

What weapons and vehicles are available on Albion?
With Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, weapons from previously-released expansion packs are available on Albion along with 11 all-new weaponry included in the expansion pack such as the Mosin-Nagant M91. Albion will also utilize the brand new Y-Lighter landing craft which can prove pivotal in turning the tide of the battle as a mobile spawn point.

How does the combination of land, air, and sea affect the gameplay?
Naval combat is of big importance with Albion, the initial spawning location for the German forces will be around a German Battleship. You will be tasked with surviving the deadly seas of the Sworbe Peninsula via Torpedo Boats and Y-Lighter Landing Craft as you make your way to key locations throughout the islands.

Throughout you will encounter heavy resistance from the Russian forces as they use the immensely powerful coastal battery installations to try and repel any invading force. Players can also expect tough opposition as Ilya-Muromets Heavy Bomber rains down from above.

Why is Albion so fun to play?

A lot of fun comes from the intensity of the battle, there is a lot of interesting ways to tackle various locations throughout Albion and almost all of the locations are accessible by the vast amounts of water around the islands. The immense power output of the Zerell Batteries should be a focus for both attackers and defenders as you can easily find the installations pointing at territory that was previously safe.
